Dekoproof DE-42 monocomponent waterproofing is an advanced and easy-to-use product, designed to create a strong, flexible and durable barrier against water and moisture. This product offers excellent protection for surfaces exposed to water such as toilets, balconies, environments with the presence of moisture, etc.

Cement-based substrates must be stable, resistant and regular, free of oils, dust and paint residues and must have reached the maturity time in advance. Approximately traditional cement-based floors with normal hardening time must have a curing time of at least 28 days, traditional plaster bases must dry for at least 14 days. Large unevenness or large cracks must be filled and leveled. All types of substrates must be cleaned before applying the product mechanically, a layer of acrylic primer diluted 1/2 should be applied. When waterproofing vertical and horizontal joints, Dekoband must be applied in advance.
Dekoprof DE-42 is applied undiluted using a roller or brush. Two coats are necessary to create a waterproof elastic membrane. The second coat can be reapplied after 4-6 hours from the application of the first coat. Corner joints should be secured with decoband and coated once more with Dekoproof DE42. After 12-24 hours (depending on weather conditions), the tiles can be laid using Altakoll adhesive.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Do not apply Dekoproof DE-42 if the temperature is lower than +5°C. Dekoproof DE-42 should not be applied if the surface has a high percentage of humidity, or if there is a possibility of increasing humidity. Dekoproof DE-42 should not be applied to uneven cementitious substrates that have not been treated in order to achieve a good bond. After applying Dekoproof DE-42, ensure that the surface is protected from rain for at least 2-3 hours. All time data in this technical sheet apply to an ambient temperature of +23°C and a relative humidity of 50%. Areas with cold climatic conditions, low ventilation or high humidity will result in extended time limits. Keep away from sunlight.
